Zilla Parishad Jalna Medical Officer Recruitment 2026: Zilla Parishad Jalna, Maharashtra, has announced a Walk-in Interview for the recruitment of 19 Medical Officer posts on a contractual basis under the National Health Mission (NHM) and the Zilla Parishad health services framework. This is a direct walk-in opportunity — eligible candidates do not need to apply online or fill any prior registration form; they simply have to appear at the designated venue on 12 March 2026 with all required original documents and self-attested copies.

Zilla Parishad Jalna is a government body responsible for the administration and delivery of public services — including healthcare — in Jalna district, Maharashtra. The Medical Officer posts are critical to strengthening primary healthcare delivery at public health centres (PHCs), sub-centres, and rural hospitals across Jalna district. This recruitment provides medical graduates and practitioners a meaningful opportunity to serve in a government healthcare role while drawing a competitive contractual salary.

Selected candidates will be appointed as Medical Officers and deployed at public health facilities within Jalna district. Their primary responsibilities will include outpatient and inpatient patient care, disease surveillance and reporting, maternal and child health services, implementation of NHM programmes, and coordination with ASHA workers and health staff at the grassroots level.

Two categories of Medical Officer posts are open: Group A (under Maharashtra Medical and Health Services) requires MBBS qualification with permanent registration with the Maharashtra Medical Council (MMC); Group B requires BAMS qualification with permanent registration with the relevant competent council. The age limit for both groups is a maximum of 43 years. The monthly salary offered is Rs. 75,000/- to Rs. 80,000/-, which is highly attractive for a contractual government medical post in Maharashtra.

Candidates must report at the Zilla Parishad Jalna office on 12 March 2026 with all original documents and one set of self-attested photocopies. The walk-in will be conducted by a designated interview panel. Selection will be based on document verification and a face-to-face interview. Candidates who are already serving on a contractual or regular basis in other government hospitals or clinics must produce a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from their current employer. Partial or insufficient documentation at the time of the walk-in will lead to disqualification.
