Therefore, eligible candidates below this age can technically apply, but younger candidates with excellent academic records are generally preferred for Assistant Professor roles.</li><li><strong>Age Relaxation:</strong> As per Government of India norms, SC/ST/OBC/PwD candidates will receive relaxations in academic marks (a relaxation of 5% in Master's degree marks from 55% to 50%) rather than strict age relaxations.</li></ul></div>

<div style="text-align: justify;"><h3 style="color: #ff00ff;">Eligibility Criteria for CUSB Teaching Posts</h3><p>The eligibility, qualifications, and experience for all teaching posts are strictly aligned with the "UGC Regulations on Minimum Qualifications for Appointment of Teachers and other Academic Staff in Universities and Colleges, 2018" and subsequent amendments.</p><ul style="line-height: 1.8;"><li><strong>For Assistant Professor (Level 10):</strong> Candidates must possess a Master's degree with at least 55% marks (or an equivalent grade) in a concerned/relevant/allied subject from an Indian University, or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign university. In addition to this, the candidate must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC or the CSIR, or have been awarded a Ph.D. degree strictly in accordance with UGC norms.</li><li><strong>For Associate Professor (Level 13A):</strong> A good academic record with a Ph.D. degree in the concerned disciplines. A Master's degree with at least 55% marks. A minimum of 8 years of post-PhD teaching or research experience in an academic/research position equivalent to that of Assistant Professor. Additionally, candidates must have a minimum of 7 publications in peer-reviewed or UGC-CARE listed journals and a total research score (API) of at least 75.</li><li><strong>For Professor (Level 14):</strong> An eminent scholar with a Ph.D. degree. A minimum of 10 years of teaching experience in a university/college as an Assistant/Associate Professor, or research experience at an equivalent level. Must have a minimum of 10 research publications in peer-reviewed or UGC-CARE listed journals and a total research score (API) of 120.</li></ul></div>

How to Apply Online via CU Chayan Portal?
The Ministry of Education has mandated that all Central University recruitments must happen through the unified CU Chayan Portal. Follow these steps:
Step 1: Visit the official CU Chayan recruitment portal at curec.samarth.ac.in or access the link through the CUSB official website (cusb.ac.in).
Step 2: Click on "Register" to create a new account using your active Email ID and Mobile Number. Verify the account using the OTP received.
Step 3: Log in and complete your master profile. Fill in all details from 10th standard up to Ph.D., including passing years, percentages, and university names.
Step 4: Navigate to the "Current Vacancies" tab, search for "Central University of South Bihar", and select the post you wish to apply for.
Step 5: Upload scanned copies of your passport-size photo, signature, category certificate, and all educational mark sheets in PDF format.
Step 6: Carefully fill in the API score section. Enter details of your research papers, books published, and teaching experience. Upload the first page of your publications as proof.
